Apex Detail Cleaning Gun Product use instructions — overview: The Apex pneumatic cleaning gun operates with compressor air at 5.5–9 bar. The mechanism uses a two-position latch. When the latch is in the upright position, the unit dispenses cleaning fluid and the combination of fluid and air dislodges dirt; airborne particles are drawn into the nozzle by a vortex created as the internal nozzle rotates 360°. When the latch is in the horizontal position, fluid dispensing stops and the vortex re-collects fluid from the cleaning area to assist drying. Use a general-purpose cleaning solution that is non-foaming, alkaline- and caustic-free, and does not react with air to avoid harming respiratory tracts. Preparation for use: 1) Place the prepared chemical into the 1 L jar located under the gun and mount the jar to the gun. 2) Connect the compressor air hose to the air inlet. 3) The technician should keep a water-filled container and a cloth at hand. 4) Depending on the chemical, use protective eyewear and a mask; use hearing protection as needed for compressor noise. Operation: Hold the Apex gun about 2 cm from the cleaning surface. Pull the trigger with the latch in the upper position to start dispensing. Move the gun slowly in vertical and horizontal passes over the area, observing cleanliness as you go. Do not use fast circular or erratic motions. Because the nozzle collects dislodged dirt internally, periodically immerse the nozzle in a water container and operate the trigger to flush out collected debris. After cleaning, wipe the area with a clean, dry cloth without pressing firmly. Gun maintenance: At the end of the workday remove the jar and set it aside. Rinse the primary filter (where the chemical passes) on the gun with warm water. Clean the system including the capillary tube where residual chemical may remain.
