CAT DZ161T 160 Amp TIG LIFT/MMA Digital Inverter Welder (bag type) paired with a CAT DX37 angle grinder. - MMA/Stick digital welding machine melts electrodes in the 1.6 mm–4.0 mm range for welding on metal surfaces, carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron and cellulose electrodes. - Combination TIG LIFT/MMA digital inverter provides both MMA/Stick welding and TIG LIFT (argon) welding modes for wider application. - Suitable for welding carbon steels, alloy steels and various iron and steel metals with smooth results. - Compatible with cellulosic electrodes; suitable for shipbuilding, storage tanks, boiler fabrication, pipeline welding, cast steel, galvanized sheets, heavy machinery parts and assembly and repair of non-alloy steels. - MCU inverter technology supports rutile, basic, cellulosic, chrome and cast iron electrodes for use on all ferrous materials. - TIG LIFT (argon) mode enables clean, smooth welding on stainless steel and aluminum alloy thin or precision metal surfaces (requires separately purchased TIG torch and argon gas). - LED-lit digital display allows precise adjustment up to 160 A. - HOT START feature provides automatic high-start current to ease arc initiation and prevent electrode sticking; enables higher starting current even at low set currents for reliable electrode ignition. - ANTI STICKING feature provides automatic adaptive current control to reduce sticking and spatter.
