Sana Alsham Mandi Spices

A traditional Mandi spice blend for preparing Mandi, a meat-and-rice dish originating from Yemen and the Middle East and now consumed across Asia including Pakistan and India. The classic recipe is made with lamb; Mandi spices are used to enhance its flavor. Mandi can also be prepared with chicken, but the traditional version uses lamb cooked in a special underground tandoor called a tabun. Raisins, almonds, cashews and other nuts may be added as garnish.
